Our Mission
The OurDailyCalc Team was founded with a clear belief: everyday calculations deserve world-class tools. Whether it's an EMI comparison for a home loan, a quick percentage split, or a unit conversion while cooking — millions of people use online calculators daily. They deserve better than what exists.
We set out to build the calculator platform we wished existed. One coherent design system applied across every tool. Real-time results without submit buttons. Formulas documented transparently. Zero data collection. Free forever.
What started as a small collection of calculators has grown into a platform of 301+ production-grade tools spanning finance, health, education, conversions, and everyday math — serving users across 180+ countries.
Our Principles
Speed
Every calculator responds in under 100 ms. The team uses Astro’s static generation, ships near-zero JavaScript, and inlines critical assets. The result feels instant — even on a 3G connection.
Accuracy
Each formula is sourced from primary references — WHO for BMI, ISO/NIST for unit conversions, standard reducing-balance for EMIs. Methods are documented on every calculator page so users can verify independently.
Privacy
All calculations stay on the user’s device. We use localStorage for favourites and recents, and never transmit inputs to any server. No accounts, no tracking, no data collection.
Design
A unified design system across every tool — typography, spacing, motion, accessibility. No two calculators feel like they came from different websites. Consistency builds trust.
How We Work
- Transparent methodology. Every formula we use is documented on the calculator page with exact citations. When we reference non-obvious sources, we link to the original research or standard.
- Privacy by design. We use lightweight, privacy-respecting analytics to understand usage patterns — nothing personally identifiable is ever collected or stored.
- Quality over quantity. Each calculator undergoes rigorous testing against edge cases, large numbers, and floating-point precision issues before launch. We build fewer tools, but build them properly.
- Accessibility first. All tools are keyboard-navigable, screen-reader friendly, and maintain WCAG AA contrast ratios. We believe good design is inclusive design.
- Open and auditable. The entire site is static HTML, CSS, and minimal JavaScript. Any user can inspect the source, verify calculations, and hold us accountable.
